January Update

BRRRR it’s cold in VA. Temperatures have been in the teens here lately. However, in spite of cold temperatures, our attendance keeps heating up. We have had back to back to back weeks with visitors this month. Our attendance has risen from the upper 60s to close to the 80s now. Our Children’s worship is really taking off too. Casie and I have started a new curriculum designed to be more hands on with the kids. They really enjoy it, and so far they seem to be learning more about God’s Word. We are also excited about our Sunday School starting up in March. Casie and I will be teaching Teen Sunday School at 9:30 then leading Kid’s worship at 10:30. These young people are the future of our church, and we are excited about the young leaders God is raising up already. Just last week we had our first baby dedication. It was so great to watch these parents dedicate their children to God.

We have been APPROVED for a loan of $700,000! You may recall we are trying to purchase a building on almost 3 acres near our current location. It has three big rooms, a gym-sized warehouse, plus some offices. However, the city must approve our plans to meet there. We would also need to put in a parking lot and renovate the building inside and out. So we need finances, man-power, time, and most of all FAITH. Please pray with us that God would continue to open the doors if this is His will.

Here are some stats from 2009

We saw 18 people come to know Christ.

We had 242 total first time visitors.

Our average attendance for the year was just over 70.
